The patented technology of the BFU spreading device features a pair of spreader brushes which guide and reliably roll out the fabric at the edges without leaving any marks. The brushing rollers are rotated by the fabric as it passes through. Because this technique does not involve any drives, no tensions are able to build up at the edges. The pairs of brushes can be adjusted to the in-process fabric thickness; their angle of action is also adjustable. The threading-in of the fabric is very simple to perform. Electrostatic charging is reliably avoided.
